Talsi – the town of nine hills.
The settlement of Talsi is mentioned in written sources for the first time in 1231 during the Middle Ages. Talsi is a town where you can experience being between two different worlds at once, for here, modern art and culture are interwoven with ancient history and nature – just breathe it in and simply be. Talsi is situated on the Northcourland upland, hilly of Vanema. Talsi is the center of the region, with a total area of 2,750.8 square kilometers and a 95 km long Baltic Sea coastline.
