Talsi region has 95km of seacost, and a variety of relaxing seside activities can be enjoyed throughout the year: white-sand beaches, small fishing village, locally caught and smoked fish, coastal-life traditions worth learning about, yacht excursions, and untouched nature can be found along all 95 km.

Kolka cape is the farthest North point of Kurzeme peninsula.  This is the place where the meeting of the waves of two seas, i.e. the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga, or the Big Sea and the Little Sea, can be seen. The cape extends as a shallow under water for 6 km. At the end of the shallow, on an artificial island there is Kolka lighthouse.

There in Kolka cape is a unique opportunity to sea both sunrise and sunset in the sea at the same place. Kolka and other 13 villages (Oviši, Lūžņa, Miķeļtornis, Lielirbe, Jaunciems, Sīkrags, Mazirbe, Košrags, Pitrags, Saunags, Vaide, Melnsils and Ģipka) are situated on the ancient  Livonian coast what now is included in the national UNESCO intangible  heritage. Livonians are among the most ancient Baltic Finno-Ugric nations who earlier lived there, now only some families use Livonian language.

Roja is a port at the mouth of the Roja river. Roja sometimes is called the summer capital of Latvia – a great beach, small cafes, tasty local food, new – build open air theatre, pine-scented air. There can learn the history of shipbuilding and fishermen’s life in Roja museum.

Kaltene is famous for big stones on the sea coast, cosy guest houses, hiking trails. tasting of local food.

Mērsrags is a small harbour with a lighthouse, build in 1880.
