Talsi Landscape in Spring. 1950 

One of the most popular and productive Talsi painters. Graduated from the Ģ. Eliass’ Figurative Painting Masterclass of the Art Academy of Latvia (1931). Worked as a decorator in Talsi, gave lectures on art, headed an art studio. Painted figural compositions and landscapes, lyrical everyday motifs, portraits. Since the 1960s, produced a large number of realistic landscapes of the environs of Talsi in oil and watercolour.
