Member of Talsi Brushwood Art Group, lives in Saldus. Graduated from the Kandava Technical School of Agricultural Mechanisation. Advanced his painting skills with Žanis Sūniņš in Talsi and Aija Zariņa in the Amateur Artists’ Studio of Saldus. Paints abstracted and expressive landscapes. Recipient of Swedbank’s 2015 “Painting of the Year” award. Member of the Artists Union of Latvia (1991). His works have been exhibited in Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Turkey, Belgium, Italy and Finland.
