Well-known caricaturist and art pedagogue in Talsi. Graduated from the Deparment of Pedagogy of the Art Academy of Latvia (1971). Painted in oil and watercolour, worked extensively in graphic design: designed posters, certificates of honour, postcards, labels, also ex libris and books, was a good calligrapher. Held several caricature exhibitions in Talsi and Latvia; also took part in international exhibitions with his caricatures.
