Engure Lake – the largest lake on the Latvian coast. It is 6 km long, with a maximum depth of 2-3 meters. Engure Lake Nature Park will surprise you with rare plants, pink wild cows, and horses. It is worth visiting not only during the annual bird watching days in spring and autumn, but also during the blooming of wild orchids in the hottest months of the year.
Area: 18,000 ha, including the territories of Talsi, Engure, and Tukums municipalities.
Establishment year: In 1957 as an ornithological reserve, and in 1998 Engure Lake Nature Park was established.
Administration: State Forest Service.
